Dr. Marc Bachmann is appointed CEO at NGS, effective February 1st, 2026. He brings a blend of engineering education, scientific depth, experience from the financial industry, global leadership in high-tech, and practical renewable-energy experience to NGS.

His career began in advanced research, where he led project-teams on the dismantling of nuclear facilities and on robotics for complex environments. He later moved into the financial sector, working in investment banking and equity analysis with a focus on high-tech, semiconductors, and emerging energy technologies, gaining deep insight into corporate valuation, M&A, and capital markets.

Marc then spent two decades in global leadership roles in business management at Texas Instruments, managing key global accounts, including some of the company’s largest, while directing international teams and driving major strategic programs across Europe, the US, and Asia. Alongside this, he has gained hands-on renewable-energy experience by developing and operating solar assets in Germany.

At NGS, Marc brings technical rigor, financial acumen, and cross-cultural leadership together to build a scalable, bankable renewable-energy platform that unites European and Indian engineering capabilities and strong strategic partnerships in the fastest-growing renewable-energy markets.

Vijay Kumar Sharma

Founder and Chairman

Vijay K. Sharma is a Chairman in Norwegian Solar AS (www.norwegiansolar.no) and in Norwegian Pure Energy AS. Both the companies are coming in Renewable Energy Projects around the globe.

Since moving to Norway in 1972, he has concentrated on cross-border trade and investment transactions between Norway and India, under the umbrella of his company Indo Scan Limited (www.indoscan.no), developing a large international business network including the Middle East, Eastern Europe, South East Asia, Latin America, and China.

His experience includes the formation of the Skinnmesteren Brand (www.skinnmestern.no), a renowned leather jacket chain with a full range of leather accessories. The brand had thirteen retail shops across Norway’s major shopping centres from 1983 to 2005.

He was also responsible for organizing a EUR 400 million LOI for a large-scale LNG liquefaction facility in Norway, part of a total project worth EUR 3.5 billion. His current focus is serving his motherland by addressing global business demand and supply needs. He also manages a real estate business in various residential projects in Norway.

He is the Founder Member and Ex-Governor of the Sanatan Mandir, Slemmestad, Norway, and is actively involved in constructing another Sanatan Mandir in Oslo.

Joachim Herrn is Chief Legal Officer & General Counsel to Norwegian Green Solutions (NGS), supporting global renewable-energy and IPP development, including in China, Croatia, India, Montenegro, and the United States.

Joachim Herrn is Chief Legal Advisor to Norwegian Green Solutions (NGS), supporting global renewable-energy and IPP development, including in China, Croatia, India, Montenegro, and the United States. He focuses on utility-scale solar PV, hybrid solar-plus-BESS, and natural-gas-to-renewables transition projects. With expertise in cross-border M&A, project finance, and regulatory strategy, Joachim helps build bankable, ESG-aligned commercial structures. Previously, he spent nearly 16 years at GE HealthCare, including as Global General Counsel, Ultrasound, supporting the implementation of multi-billion-dollar transactions. He also advises Oslo-based startup ForestSync on AI-driven forest-asset intelligence and carbon-credit ecosystems.
